My Recent Work and Links in the Community
Part of the job of County Superintendent of Education is to build and maintain links between the schools and a broad range of community groups. Thanks to my years of public service -- on the Oakland City Council, the Oakland School Board, and as Superintendent -- I have a wide and growing network of community relationships. I'm always listening, learning, and trying to be there when people need me. Here are some of my more recent actions:
